Rachna Vyas

Rachna began her NHS career in Leicester in 2005,working with our local communities to transform services within and across health and care across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Since 2022, Rachna has held the position of Chief Operating Officer for the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board and has recently taken on additional responsibilities as the Deputy Chief Executive. In this role, Rachna holds the strategic lead for the successful operational running of the LLR health and care system. She is responsible for the design and delivery of transformed models of care at system level for urgent care, elective care, children’s services, maternity services, all age mental health and learning disability services as well as integration of services at place and neighbourhood level and is the Accountable Emergency Officer for the ICB. Rachna holds an honorary lecturer position with the University of Leicester, with a focus on health equity, in recognition of her work within the communities of Leicester during the pandemic. She is also a trustee with a national charity with the aim of supporting under-represented communities into professional careers. Rachna has a significant portfolio of mentoring and interview coaching, particularly with women who seek to move into clinical or managerial leadership positions; this is predominantly through the ICB-led ‘women in clinical leadership’ forum or the national APNA staff network.
